National Diabetes Audit

This is an automatic data extraction service collecting data on diabetics to help improve their care. The 2017-18 collection will also, for the first time be collecting information on people who are at high risk of developing diabetes, either with a diagnosis of non-diabetic hyperglycaemia, impaired glucose tolerance or pre-diabetes. Information about referral and attendance at the Diabetes Prevention Programme (DPP) are also going to be extracted. 

2017 - 18 collection

For the 2017 - 18 collection there will be two extracts; the first one on the 12th March 2018 and the second in May, date to be confirmed.

Other Data Extractions

NHS Digital is working with the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) to perform a weekly anonymous extract of fit note usage data for collection, storage, transmission and publication by NHS Digital.

Data includes no of fit notes issued, no of patients with a record as unfit/maybe fit to work, duration, gender, health condition, location, and whether adaptions were recommended.
